Best not to let them know we’re still here.

Making the sysadmins angry never works :(

I think at this point as long as we don’t start posting porn or something we can’t accelerate our demise.
(The demise will still come, eventually, just don’t think we can make it worse by reminding them we exist .)

What are they gonna do, break the site?

I do think we should start embiggeni ng every post until the fix arrives. It’s painful to scroll past all those large photos, but not as demoralizing as not having any idea what’s going on.

Agreed.

As a SysAdmin I endorse this practice. I’ve definitely worked with a lot of vengeful system admins over the years.

Having seen some of the stuff Jezz and Gawkmodo post, I’m not sure even pron would cause a stir at this stage.

Isn’t porn the biggest money maker on the internet? That might be more welcomed than shitposts.

Eh, all we’d need is a teenager to fix it.

Welp, time for us to start an OnlyOppos.

Honestly while taking away even more info from the articles isn’t great, I’m just as annoyed by the fact they’ve unlinked the headlines within posts . You might say “why do you need a link to an article you are already on?”, but having the linked both makes things easier to share, and makes it easier to get to the full comment section if you follow a link to a specific comment (admittedly, fixing the comment display buttons would probably be a better solution for the latter case).

Y’know, I’m tempted to express to them how bad these “updates” are, but am d oing my best to bite my tongue and give them the benefit of the doubt that these are all just glitches that need fixing.
...boy does my tongue hurt...

I think they know, and honestly, it’s in their best interest to keep the user communities happy anyway. We keep coming back and givin’ those sweet, sweet clicks because this is where we do the thing.

Also worth noting: It’s an issue on the front pages as well. Seems like changes made for one site radiate across the network, as you’d expect with a shared platform. I made sure to note that Inventory blocks do it as well when I wrote the bug report.
